About Kyla

20 years of healing experience

My healing journey began in 2002 when I was just 16 years young. Back then, I was struggling with alcohol and things were getting pretty rough. My life was like a dramatic Netflix series! However, with a lot of hard work and dedication, I was able to heal myself and turn things around. Now, I'm feeling better than ever and I'm eager to help others on their own healing journeys.

1 woman at a time

Each of my client's journeys is unique and personal, with no two healing sessions alike. I cherish the close relationships I develop with my clients and feel grateful for the trust they place in me. It's an honor to be a part of their journey towards healing!

1000+ healed clients

In 2005, I was honored to be recognized as the Fastest Growing Business on Vancouver Island by the British Columbia Acupressure Therapy Association (BCATA). It was an amazing experience to speak at their conference and connect with fellow practitioners. I left feeling inspired and grateful for the standing ovation I received.

12,000 hours of practice

My chair was everywhere! I had it on display at Tradeshows, in our favorite local health food store, LifeStyle Markets, and even in the lunchroom and government rooms at Hewlett Packard. It was my mission to get the word out about my product, and it seemed like everyone on Vancouver Island knew about it!

Unleash your power to create life, love, and feel intensely. Don't let society suppress your femininity and cause trauma.

Dragon boats pad the way

At first glance, dragon boats and cloth menstrual pads might not have an obvious link — at least until you meet the women behind a mission

My Passion Projects

When I found out how to heal my period and use it for my personal inner power I was ready to change the world. In 2008/2009 while I was pregnant with my daughter, Cleo, I knew it was time. While she was in utero I wrote the book, Little Women's Guide to Personal Power. A book to help girls of coming age into puberty so they had the tools they needed from the get-go.

In 2013, I partnered with Jude Knowles at the Gorge Rowing Club and local high school girls who raised funds for cloth pad period kits for girls in Malawi. We raised a total of $4500 that was sent to Rachel Starkey at Transformation Textiles who did the rest of the work.

Personal Story: Discovering the Healing Power of Acupressure

My name is Kyla, and my life has been marked by resilience and a relentless pursuit of healing. Growing up in the shadows of my mother's painful past, I always carried a glimmer of hope within me. I believed that life could be joyful and that there were possibilities for transformation and healing.

As I navigated the challenges of my childhood and teenage years, I longed for stability and a reliable source of support. The absence of a consistent parental figure led me down a difficult path for a while, but deep down, I knew that I had to find my way back to the light.

It was during this period of searching for healing and self-discovery that I stumbled upon the transformative practice of acupressure. Intrigued by the concept of using pressure points on the body to alleviate pain and promote well-being, I delved deeper into this ancient healing art.

Acupressure became my sanctuary—a way to channel my pain into strength and find solace in the midst of turmoil. I learned about the various pressure points and meridians in the body and how they could be stimulated to restore balance and promote healing.

Through diligent research and practice, I began to apply acupressure techniques to myself, finding relief from physical and emotional discomfort. The gentle pressure on specific points became a conduit for releasing tension and unlocking the body's natural healing abilities.

But acupressure went beyond mere physical relief for me; it became a profound tool for emotional and spiritual healing as well. As I applied pressure to certain points, I discovered a sense of inner calm and a renewed connection to myself. It became a holistic practice that nourished my mind, body, and soul.

The impact of acupressure on my life was profound. Gradually, I found myself breaking free from toxic patterns and fostering a healthier relationship with myself and those around me. The practice provided a sense of empowerment, enabling me to transform my pain into a source of strength and resilience.

As I continued to explore acupressure, I realized that it was not just a personal healing journey but also an opportunity to help others. I shared my newfound knowledge and techniques with friends and loved ones, witnessing the transformative power of acupressure in their lives as well.

Today, acupressure has become an integral part of my daily routine—a source of self-care and a reminder of the incredible capacity we have for healing and growth. It has taught me to listen to my body, to tune in to its wisdom, and to honor the innate healing mechanisms within us all.

Through the discovery of acupressure, I have found a path to healing that transcends the limitations of my past. It has been a catalyst for personal transformation, allowing me to embrace joy, love, and endless possibilities. My journey continues, and with every acupressure point I stimulate, I am reminded of the incredible resilience of the human spirit and the potential we all possess to create a brighter future.
